Even though we have always held sewing and craft workshops, believe it or not, the Haberdashery side of things to Happydashery was never actually in the business plans when we first started... in actual fact the very first day we opened we were told off by a bystander who watched us open our doors that we would never compete with Fabric World, the most amazing of actual Haberdasheries down the High Street from us! 

Absolutely over the moon to be able to introduce you to the extremely lovely Mairi from @wovenbymairi We have been in talks with Mairi for the past few months to organise her running her unique weaving workshops at The.Work.Shop. 

Seeing as Buzzstock is just around the corner in our social calendars now, we thought it was about time that we got to hear a little bit more from Andrena, one half of the dynamic duo behind Buzzstock and Leighton Buzz Radio!

Meet the rather fabulous Suzanne, from Hooks, Needles & Threads, who is hosting workshops in Sashiko (the art of visible mending), Lace Making, Rag Wreath Making and the heritage craft of Making Dorset Buttons at The.Work.Shop.  Only recently returned from living in Singapore, Suzanne is really looking forward to teaching local makers about these heritage crafts.
